The 1999 Pinot Noir Hirsch Vineyard (282 cases made from 1.6 tons per acre of fruit) is a dense, ruby-colored wine with a complex nose of violets, red cherries, and spice. In the mouth, it is voluptuously-textured, pure, and ripe, with well-integrated tannin, and reasonably low acidity. It is a complex, rich, full, Burgundian-styled Pinot Noir to drink over the next 7-8 years.
