The 2009 Isola del Sole Bianco (Vermentino, Nuragus) is a new bottling from Argiolas made from the estate’s youngest vineyards. This soft, round white delivers lovely varietal character and an excellent sense of balance. At $10 retail, it is a fabulous value. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2011. Argiolas is a great starting point for readers who want to discover the breadth of Sardinian wine.
