The 2006 Pinot Noir Ribbon Springs is sourced from an estate owned vineyard. Dark ruby-colored, it reveals toasty black cherry, black raspberry, and plum aromas. This is followed by a dense, layered wine that has enough structure to evolve for 1-2 years. This lengthy effort should be at its best from 2010 to 2018. Adelsheim Vineyard, founded in 1971, continues to be a benchmark winery under the stewardship of David Adelsheim. The winery makes a full range of excellent white wines offered at very fair prices but the focus remains Pinot Noir.
