Containing 75% whole bunch fruit, the 2015 Beaune 1er Cru Les Reversées was cropped at 16 hectoliters per hectare. It is a little foursquare on the nose at the moment, leaning more towards black fruit than red with a pleasant damp moss/earthy scent that emerges with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a marine note, almost fishy, on the entry. It is very linear, quite strict and Pommard-like in style, the finish offering a touch of spice and good persistence. I would like to find a little more cohesion and fruité once in bottle.
