The 2013 Chardonnay Original Vines Reserve has a gorgeous bouquet with scents of honeycomb, citrus fruit, wet wool and minerals that for me demonstrate a little more precision than its 2014 counterpart, at least at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with finely tuned acidity, hints of brioche, Conference pear, a dab of lemongrass and a poised, tensile finish. This is an outstanding Chardonnay from winemaker Jason Lett.
