Despite what looks like an enormous array of Zinfandels, the total production still runs around 15,000 cases, and of course that includes the limited production white wines in addition to their bevy of rather remarkable Petite Sirahs, – California’s more underrated varietal. Speaking of some of these whites, they have a terrific 2006 Roussanne from the Rattlesnake Ridge Vineyard on Howell Mountain. This wine reveals the lychee and rose petal fragrances of this varietal with honeysuckle, medium to full body, and a rather chunky, full-bodied mouthfeel. Roussanne is a distinctive grape, and this is an excellent example of it. (Not yet released)Tel. (707) 963-0940; Fax (707) 963-8683
