Martinelli’s Zindfandel is a rich, high-octane wine of considerable intensity, fragrance, and richness. The 2004 Zinfandel Jackass Vineyard (690 cases) offers copious quantities of espresso roast, overripe figs, coffee, cola, strawberry and cherry jam, a hint of mincemeat and spice box, and a monstrously rich, full-bodied palate that just oozes fruit, glycerin, and alcohol. This wine should drink well for up to a decade.
