The 2014 Gevrey-Chambertin Village, a blend of five parcels, has a lifted blackberry and briary-scented bouquet with a touch of Earl Grey mixed in with the fruit. The palate is well balanced and rounded in the mouth, quite spicy and feisty for a village cru, with a splash of soy towards the finish. I would just like to see more Pinoté here. Drink 3-4 years after bottling.
