The 2010 Black Tears Malbec is also from the San Pablo zone of Uco, a selection of older plots (17 years old) fermented in stainless steel and matured in new and used French oak for 24 months. This juicy, ripe and deep Malbec is quite dark-colored with a showy, aromatic and hedonistic nose loaded with violets and blueberries. The palate is medium to full-bodied with some dusty tannins (I feel more polished tannins in the 2012 wines), and with a finish lifted by the alcohol. 12,000 bottles produced.
