This is a rustic, but flavorful offering from one of the warmest appellations in the Cotes du Rhone-Villages, Rasteau. The dense ruby/purple-hued 2004 Rasteau Cuvee Paul-Emile, boasts a sweet bouquet of blackberries, cherries, smoke, damp earth, licorice, and meat. Full-bodied and moderately tannic, it represents a substantial mouthful of uncompromising Rasteau. Consume it over the next 7-8 years.
