The estate also has done wonderful white wines, and the 2005 Eclat, an equal-part blend of Grenache, Roussanne, and Clairette with only the Roussanne barrel-fermented, has a light straw color and a big, crisp nose of white peaches, apricots, and honeysuckle with some rose water in the background. It is medium-bodied and exhibits the crisp acidity of the vintage, wonderful freshness, and length. Drink it over the next 1-3 years. One of the best run if not the finest estate in the Cotes du Ventoux is Fondreche. Shrewd consumers should have been stocking up on these wines for a number of years as they represent terrific values. They all exhibit beautifully pure fruit infused with plenty of Provencal character.Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC; tel. (202) 832-9083
