From vines planted in 1954 and 1971, the 2014 Puligny-Montrachet le Trezins has a strict flint and stony nose that shows good intensity. There is no stopping these aromatics. The palate is well balanced with plenty of rondeur -- Clementine, apricot and a touch of honey, slightly lower acidity than its peers but showing good depth on the finish. Not quite the breeding of Marc Colin's Le Trezin, but still a delicious mouthful of vino.
