This wine reveals smoked pork fat and blackberries on the nose and a well-crafted, medium-to-full-bodied, refined, and chewy personality with black currant, plum, and stone-like flavors. Its long finish reveals plenty of supple, round tannins. It should be at its best between 1999 and 2004.
