The 1991 Bethel Heights Pinot Noirs are impressive. They exhibit expansive, rich, concentrated fruit and voluptuous textures. The 1991 Estate Flat Block is similar in style, but more expansive and richer than the 1991 Estate S.E. Block Reserve. Its nose of black and red fruit is followed by rich, full-bodied, layered flavors, low acidity, and gobs of fruit, glycerin, and heady alcohol in the finish. It is a decadent Pinot Noir for drinking over the next 4-5 years.
