August Kesseler's 2017 Rheingau Riesling Kabinett R is a 10% alcohol classic of the region. Bright in color and flavors, with nice reduction and purity on the nose, this is a light, fine, filigreed Riesling whose finely racy acidity is well balanced by lush white fruit and some grams of unfermented sugar. The wine has stimulating grip, and the added sulfites give a nice, lean and piquant style. Very fresh and forever young. Tasted November 2018.
