The 2001 Cotes du Rhone Domaine de Pierredon is a tank-aged blend of equal parts Grenache, Mourvedre, and Syrah. Jammy, fruity, lush, pure, and a lot of fun to drink, it is the kind of wine I wish were available at some of the Parisian bistros that buy some of the cheapest stuff available from mediocre Bordeaux and Burgundy negociants. This delicious offering will drink well for several years. A Patrick Lesec Selection, various American importers, including Stacole Fine Wines, Boca Raton, FL; tel.
