My favorite of this trio, the 2004 Pinot Noir Fiddlestix Vineyard, combines the strength and meatiness of the Cargasacchi cuvee with a degree of elegance and suppleness. Produced from French clones as well as the so-called Pommard Clone widely used in Oregon, it possesses a deep ruby/purple hue as well as a super-expressive perfume of beet root, black currants, sweet cherries, and background oak. It is a big, potent, forceful effort with impressive purity, texture, and length. It should last for 7-8 years.Tel. (805) 686-2906
