There are less than 100 cases of the 1997 Chardonnay Sweeney Canyon (15.1% alcohol). It offers spicy oak, honeyed citrus, buttery fruit, an alluring texture, and admirable richness. It should drink well for several years.This wine, made from low yields, is both unfined and unfiltered, with well-integrated acidity. As is often the case, Brewer-Clifton's hand-crafted wines are only available in small quantities. Nevertheless, they are worth knowing about.
