The 2004 Reserva spent 30 months in French and American oak. Purple-colored, it offers an alluring nose of violets, cedar, leather, sage, blueberry, and blackberry. This leads to an elegant, smooth-textured wine with excellent depth, ripe, complex flavors, and enough stuffing to evolve for 3-5 years. It should hit its peak by 2012 and continue to drink well through 2025.
The winery produces two wines from Toro, located directly west of Ribera del Duero, under the Arbucala label.
