Cuomo’s 2006 Furore Riserva blasts across the palate with serious weight and density in its dark red fruit. The Riserva is not a shy wine, but frankly I find more pleasure in the straight Furore as the Riserva comes across as bit overdone. The Riserva is equal parts Per e Palummo (Piedirosso) and Aglianico, aged in new French oak. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2021.
