The Michele Satta 2020 Giovin Re is a complicated wine that sees a bit of oak, amphorae and cement at various points during winemaking. It reveals a saturated golden color and embraces an open-knit winemaking style that plays with mature fruit, pulp and skins. Candied peach, lemon drop, almond paste and honey all converge on the bouquet. It feels waxy and creamy. There is a distinct pop of acidity that comes out of nowhere at the very end.
