There are only 150 bottles of Dancer’s outstanding 2003 Chevalier-Montrachet (white), produced from 12 hectoliter per hectare yields harvested at 13.9% natural potential alcohol. One of the finest whites I tasted during my tour of Burgundy’s top cellars, it bursts from the glass with creamed almond aromas. This deep wine has enormous concentration, a divinely silky texture, and an extremely long finish. Its marzipan, buttered toast, and creamed mineral flavors linger on the palate for 45 seconds or more. My recommendation is to drink this beauty over the next 5-6 years as it is extremely forward.
