The 2009 Corrida is a blend of 62% Tempranillo, 12% Graciano (this is a Spanish red wine grape grown mostly in Rioja), 11% Merlot and 6% Grenache. Spending time in 30% new French and European barrels, it possesses a light ruby color as well as peppery, spice-driven aromas and flavors of dried cherries, licorice and tar. Medium-bodied, balanced and downright delicious, with a touch of dry tannin on the finish, it should drink nicely for 7-8 years. Drink now-2017.
Based in Woodinville and made by Brian Carter, this is a solid, well-made lineup of wines.
