Bottled a week before my visit, the 2017 Saint Joseph le Paradis Saint Pierre Blanc seemed to be showing no ill effects, as it burst with scents of toast, tangerine and pineapple. This full-bodied blend of 90% Marsanne and 10% Roussanne spent a year in barriques, leaving it rich and textured on the palate yet fresh, balanced and long on the finish. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.
