The 2016 Cairanne Domaine Grosset lacks the rich fruit of the Creation Grosset bottling, but it remains an attractive, spicy-herbal blend of Grenache (60%), Mourvèdre (20%) and Syrah (20%). Peppery, minty notes give a slightly medicinal cast to the cherry fruit in this medium to full-bodied wine, which turns a bit drying on the finish.
