The 2012 Rosso di Montalcino opens to rustic, earthy tones of sweet spice and dried cherry. It’s a very young wine that seems older than it really is. The wine is amply concentrated and dense with a bright spot of acidity that helps to bring it home. Drink: 2014-2017. Tenuta La Fuga is a gem of an estate owned today by Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari of Tenute Folonari. The group owns several estates throughout Tuscany, Chianti Classico and coastal Tuscany.
