Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2009 Shiraz offers expressive notes of warm mulberries, dried plum, blackcurrant compote and allspice with hints of cedar, menthol, cracked pepper and anise. Full bodied and richly fruited in the mouth, the spicy, vanilla–laced oak shows through on the palate complimenting the warm berry flavors with crisp acidity to freshen and a medium level of velvety tannins. The finish is long and spicy. Drink it now through 2016.
