The Micheletti 2020 Bolgheri Rosso Dalleo (a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc and 15% Merlot) comes from a one-hectare plot at 70 meters in elevation and gravelly soils of alluvial origin. With 6,000 bottles made, this hot-vintage expression shows baked or stewed fruit with cherry marmalade, bramble and the bitter skin you might find on the inside of an unripe walnut. There is a point of astringency on the close.
