The 2011 Figuero Noble is sourced from two plots of vineyards in the village of La Horra planted some 70 years ago at 825 meters altitude. After fermenting with indigenous yeasts, the wine went through malo in brand new French oak barrels where it matured for 21 months. Most of the aromas seem to be oak-related with plenty of cinnamon and vanilla, cloves and a lactic touch over a core of very ripe plums. The palate is full-bodied, with volume and lowish acidity, ripe and juicy, but could do with a little more zip. It ends quite dry. 3,500 bottles.
