Blended with 30% whole cluster fruit that was undamaged by hail, the 2014 Pommard Vilage Vignots underwent late malolactic. It has a ripe, quite feisty bouquet with blackcurrant and faint iodine scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine delineation, good weight in the mouth, a little conservative perhaps with a stony and reserved finish, though it is not austere. Give this 3-4 years in bottle -- it deserves it.
