Medium gold. Very rich, perfumed wine that screams "gewurz" on the nose, but is in an in your-face style that is not what I would associate with grapes grown in the cooler-climate Valle Isarco. Nonetheless, you might enjoy the lichee, rose petal, mango and cinnamon aromas. On the palate, it's more restrained, and hence more Valle Isarco-like, with a pretty minerality shining through all the ripe tropical fruit flavors. The wine's modest length does not detract from what is an enjoyable, uncomplicated gewurztraminer that will leave all enthusiasts of the variety happy. Still, I would have scored it higher if it spoke more of its origins.
