The 2016 Malvazija pours to a veiled burnt orange, instead of an off-gold color. It has a very nice fragrance, with floral tones and some canned peach. You also get a touch of candied pineapple. This wine ages in large oak casks for two years. It would be nice next to a white-sauced lasagne alla bolognese with prosciutto and spices. Some 6,000 bottles were produced.
