The 2007 St.-Joseph is a very fine effort for the vintage. Powdered rock, cassis, underbrush, and pepper characteristics dominate the aromas and flavors of this sensual wine that displays silky tannins. Drink it over the next 3-4 years. (Not yet released) A young, promising producer, Stephane Robert continues to fashion beautifully rich, full-bodied, classic wines reflective of their terroirs.
