The 2012 version of the red Cosme Palacio Crianza is quite jammy, with notes of strawberry preserve and a good dose of sweet spices that are modern and straightforward. This pure Tempranillo from Laguardia was fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and aged in new French oak barrels for one year. The new barrels are possibly responsible for the creaminess found in the palate and part of the tannins that coat your mouth that are well balanced by fresh acidity. It ends with a pleasant, slightly bitter note. 240,000 bottles produced.
