The 1999 Tempranillo represents a positive departure from Albet I Noya's typical austere style. It reveals less rugged tannin, a pleasing mid-palate and texture, and less aggressive notes of wood and herbs. This textured, long, full-bodied effort reveals beautiful sweet black cherry fruit mixed with smoke, spice, and lead pencil. Multilayered, rich, open-knit, and supple, it is a seductive, nicely-concentrated offering to drink over the next 4-5 years.Importer: Jorge Ordonez, Fine Estates From Spain, Dedham, MA; tel.
