A real winner from Bodegas Ordo?ez is the 2014 Nisia, which uses 100% Verdejo Old Vines, planted at one of the highest elevations of any Spanish appellation, 2,850 feet above sea level. This has sandy soils and Verdejo tends to love this. Fermented and aged in stainless steel or neutral French foudres, this wine is crisp, medium-bodied and shows delicate citrus, pear and a touch of white peach notes. It is steely, fresh and delicious. This is a wonderful wine for drinking as an aperitif or with lighter poultry or fish dishes. Drink now.
