Remelluri’s modern-styled Spanish cuvees include their gorgeously expressive, intense, dry white, the 2004 Remelluri Blanco. A barrel-fermented blend of Viognier, Chardonnay, Roussanne, Marsanne, Sauvignon Blanc, Grenache Blanc, and Muscadel, it spent 12 months in French oak. A dead-ringer for a complex white Burgundy with additional nuances, it offers a lovely ripeness, medium to full body, a judicious touch of subtle wood, and a long finish. Consume it over the next year as these wines tend to fade quickly.
