It is not supposed to work out this way, but the regular bottling of the Cascina Castlet's 1990 Barbera d'Asti is a more appealing and better balanced wine than the 1990 Superiore. The 1990 regular bottling offers a healthy dark ruby color, a sweet, jammy bouquet, lush, soft flavors, and comes across as a fleshy Barbera for drinking over the next 4-5 years. No known American importer.
