This is clearly a superlative source for terrific red wines at bargain prices. Few California wineries produce good Carignane, but Trentadue does. The 1991 exhibits a big, black-cherry, spicy nose, rich, elegant, medium to full-bodied flavors, and a lush finish. Drinkable now, it should mature gracefully for another 7-8 years. It should be apparent that this winery is making a bevy of terrific red wines at bargain basement prices. Their wines all sell for between $6-$12 a bottle. Given their quality/price rapport, these wines will not linger on retailers' shelves.
