Probably the finest D2 ever produced at DeLille, the 1999 is medium to dark ruby-colored and offers herbal blackberry aromas. Candied dark fruits, blueberries, and cherries can be found in this rich, broad, concentrated, and juicy wine's personality. The D2 is the second label for the winery’s Chaleur Estate red, and includes juice from many of the state’s top vineyards, about half on Red Mountain.
