Produced from 20 year old vines, the spicy yellow fruit-scented 2000 Pinot Gris Furstentum is medium-bodied and harmonious. This plush wine has loads of depth, a potent peach-filled character, and a silky-texture. Projected maturity: 2003-2013. The youthful Jean-Christophe Bott, this winery's winemaker and director, believes 2000 "is not an exceptional vintage, yet is outstanding. The last extraordinary year we had was 1990.
