The 2021 Pinot Noir Mays Canyon is exceptionally detailed and powerful this vintage. It has a pale ruby color and gains aromatic intensity slowly as it airs, from raspberry and rhubarb to conifer, autumn leaves, bergamot and fennel. The medium-bodied palate is much more powerful than the detailed aromatics lead you to believe. It floods the mouth with layer after layer of spicy fruit. It has a frame of chalky tannins, fireworks of mouthwatering acidity and a tremendously long finish replete with streaks of Angostura and amaro. Only 138 cases were made.

The 2019 Pinot Noir Mays Canyon comes from vines planted in 1999, and it has a stunning expression! Medium ruby-purple in color, it features aromas of crushed strawberries, raspberries and cranberries with nuances of candied violet, allspice, conifer, tea leaves and licorice. The palate is delicate yet intense, boasting seamless acidity, layer after silky layer of detailed flavors and an incredibly persistent finish. Only 206 cases were made.

The 2018 Pinot Noir Mays Canyon has lovely aromas of smoked charcuteries, redcurrant, rhubarb, burnt orange peel, aniseed and underbrush with notes of floral potpourri. The medium-bodied palate offers expansive, amaro-like flavor layers in a powerful frame, with pops of juicy acidity enlivening the very long finish.

The 2017 Pinot Noir Mays Canyon, grown in gravelly loam, has a pale to medium ruby color and scents of fresh violets, crushed black cherries, citrus peel, oolong tea, autumn leaves and warm earth with rhubarb and raspberry preserves accents. It's light to medium-bodied with a core of amaro-accented fruits, a tight frame and juicy freshness, finishing long.
