Selbach-Oster produced five Spatlese offerings in 1992. All are at least very good, with several outstanding. The 1992 Wehlener Klosterberg Riesling Spatlese is similarly styled to the 1992 Zeltinger Himmelreich Riesling Spatlese AP#1. It boasts a gloriously ripe, flashy bouquet, big, rich, medium-bodied flavors that reveal significant amounts of up-front fruitiness, low acidity, and an off-dry, rich finish.
