The 2010 Còrpore is a dark and brooding red wine that opens to a saturated ruby color and pretty aromas of dried cherry and spice. The wine offers a good sense of balance and harmony with no one aromatic characteristic that overpowers the next. That seamless quality translate to the mouth where the wine also shows integrated acidity and silky tannins. This pretty red wine (made mostly with Cabernet Franc) is drinking beautifully right now. But it should also hold forward.

Villa Sandi produces an ample range of the wines of the province of Treviso, including Spumante and Prosecco, but by far the finest wine in the line, startling in comparison to the other Bordeaux blends produced in its area, is the 2001 Corpore, principally Cabernet Franc and a beauty. A glowing ruby in color with ripe berry fruit and an ample range of sweet herbs, vanilla, and graphite, it is a wine of substantial concentration, much polish and focus, a solid structure, and a deep, plushy texture. Very long and continuous, it seems built to last at least fifteen years.
