The estate's 2003 Taurasi is a sumptuous, full-bodied version of Campania's most famous wine. This plump, generous Taurasi is loaded with dark fruit, French oak and sweet spices. With time in the glass the wine's inner perfume emerges, and I sense that with a slightly more subtle use of oak, the wine could very well reach another level. The raw materials certainly seem to be there. For now, this remains a juicy style of Taurasi that is probably best enjoyed on the young side while the fruit remains vibrant. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2015.
Vesevo is a terrific source for delicious wines made in a soft, silky style.
