The 2001 T D’Anguix Gran Reserva spent 24 months in French and American oak. Still purple in color, it proffers a bouquet of wood smoke, mineral, balsamic, Asian spices, incense, and blackberry. On the palate it has excellent volume, savory flavors, complexity from extended bottle aging, and outstanding depth and concentration. It still is evolving and should be at its best from 2013 to 2026.
