The 2010 "Fado" Branco is a blend of Antao Vaz and Roupeiro. This has come to be a pretty nice value source for early drinking if you like its style. Refreshing, but with some solidity in the mid-palate, it is chock full of flavor, crisp and a bit herbaceous. It is not the type of wine that holds well, but it should be utterly charming this year, a perfect Summer white, and drink into the next. Drink now-2012. Importer: Tri-Vin Imports, Mt. The 2009 “FADO” Branco is a blend of Antao Vaz (85%) and Roupeiro aged on the lees for three months. For an entry level wine at this modest price level, this shows very well, with good depth and intensity of flavor. This was quite charming. The 2006 BRANCO “FADO” is a blend of Antao Vaz (85%) and Roupeiro. This is the second vintage released of this bottling. It is rounded in texture, with a feeling of depth, and grip on the finish. There’s more than enough acidity, however, and the wine is crisp, youthful and exuberant. It is drinking well now, but should hold nicely for a few years. It is a nice value. Drink now-2010.
