The 2004 Recioto della Valpolicella Argille Bianche comes across as intensely mineral-driven in its blackberry jam, chocolate, spices, violets and French oak. This medium-bodied, subtle Recioto offers terrific depth and persistence, with fine, chalky notes that frame the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2016.
