Here's a good value wine from Piedmont. The 2013 Nebbiolo d'Alba Tavoleto offers red fruit, mild cherry, smoke and tar. The wine exhibits darker than average color intensity and stability compared to your standard Nebbiolo. This wine is fresh and loosely knit in terms of texture, making it perfect for near-term consumption. It ages in large oak casks for 12 months. Some 10,000 bottles were made.
