The 2009 Rose is a blend of Cinsault, Counoise, Grenache, Mourvedre, and Carignan. Light pink in color, it reveals a fragrant nose of cherry blossom, strawberry, and rhubarb. Dry on the palate with plenty of spicy, savory fruit, this balanced, lengthy Rose will provide pleasure over the next 12-18 months.
James and Poppie Mantone’s Syncline Wine Cellars is on the eastern edge of the beautiful Columbia Gorge, an area better known for outdoor sports (fishing, boating, wind surfing) than wine production. The winery’s new collection is once again outstanding from beginning to end.
